Usage Instructions

Pre-Use Checks
Before using the electric wheelchair, ensure the power is turned off. In this state, the clutches on both motors are engaged. Raise the footrests before sitting down, and then lower them once seated.

Getting Acquainted with the Wheelchair
Once seated, secure your seatbelt and turn on the power. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the wheelchair is ready for use. Start by pressing the speed reduction button to set the speed to the lowest level. As you become more comfortable, you can adjust the speed as needed. The joystick controls both direction and speed; gently push it forward to move, and you will hear a “click” as the electromagnetic brake releases. Pushing the joystick further accelerates the chair, while pulling it back slows it down.

Driving the Electric Wheelchair
To stop the wheelchair while in motion, simply release the joystick, which will reset to its neutral position, bringing the wheelchair to a smooth halt. Be cautious; if you suddenly pull the joystick back while moving forward, the wheelchair will stop quickly. You can also use the speed limit button to set a maximum speed that suits your physical condition and the terrain.

Battery Management
Before using the electric wheelchair, check the battery level. If it’s low, charge it immediately, as letting it completely discharge can reduce its lifespan. After use, recharge it promptly. The battery indicator will light up when the power is on, providing an estimate of the remaining charge.

Important Precautions

Prioritize Safety
When entering or exiting doorways or navigating obstacles, avoid using the wheelchair to bump into anything (especially important for elderly users who may have fragile bones).

Proper Positioning
While pushing the wheelchair, instruct the user to hold onto the armrests and lean back as much as possible. They should avoid leaning forward or attempting to exit the wheelchair on their own to prevent falls; consider using restraint belts if necessary.

Navigating Small Obstacles
The small front wheels can make it easy for the wheelchair to get stuck on minor obstacles (like small stones or dips) during fast travel, which can lead to sudden stops or tipping. Users should exercise caution and may need to pull back to avoid tipping, as the larger rear wheels are better at handling such obstacles.

Descending Hills
When navigating downhill, proceed slowly. Ensure the user leans back and holds onto the armrests to maintain stability and avoid accidents.

Monitoring User Condition
If the user experiences issues such as swelling in the lower extremities, ulcers, or joint pain, elevate the footrests and use soft pillows for comfort.

Keeping Warm
In colder weather, keep the user warm by covering them with a blanket. Drape the blanket over the wheelchair, wrap it around their neck, and secure it with pins. Ensure the arms are covered as well, and wrap their lower legs and feet for warmth.

Regular Maintenance
Check the electric wheelchair regularly and apply lubricating oil as needed to ensure it remains in optimal condition.
